OUR STORY

2010

The year it all started, when our founders Dag and Duncan build a company starting with nothing more than field experience and their scientific knowledge. They embarked on a mission to supply instruments and education that increase productivity and save time. But also committed to the ethical fundamentals of service and support. Safety, sustainability and humanity will always be three important values of the company. Working literally out of their garages and utility rooms, they produced our first product - the isGyro. The first example was shipped to Houston, USA in 2011.

Two men wearing white hard hats and safety glasses, standing outdoors on a dirt surface, with a grassy field and trees in the background during sunset.

A man kneeling on a concrete floor, assembling or inspecting metal pipe sections.
A building with a sign that reads 'Inertial Sensing' and two flags with the same logo and text. The building is surrounded by a parking lot with cars and blooming yellow flowers in the foreground. The sky is blue with some clouds.

Two men standing at an exhibition booth with a display of surveying technology, in front of white walls with the words "Innovative Surveying Technology." The man on the left is smiling and wearing a white shirt with a red and blue lanyard, while the man on the right is looking serious with a similar lanyard. The table has surveying equipment and brochures, with a staff badge attached to each man.
A black hard protective case with a small level on top, connected by a strap, placed on top of other cases. A rifle with a wooden stock and a metallic barrel is resting on black foam padded cases.

2015

In the intervening years the company moved to a proper location with room for our expanding warehouse, production and service activities. Working every week and almost every weekend we continuously developed new hardware and software systems for our growing distributor network. Our first employees learned the ins and outs of inventory and technician duties. We appeared at trade shows and have greeted many people who became friends through thick and thin. The revolutionary SlimGyro that was developed, launched and used across the globe in 2015.

Two workers in safety gear and helmets are working inside a dark underground tunnel, illuminated by a bright overhead light surrounded by large machinery and equipment.
A cheetah lying on the ground in a natural habitat, facing sideways with eyes closed, with a dry grassy terrain background.

2020

We thought the impact of Covid-19 restricted travel would hit us hard, not being able to meet and greet our distributors and clients, but it did not stop our business! Instead demand skyrocketed an we met it with a range of new tools. Our educational series on YouTube was launched, to meet the huge demand for training. Global travel restrictions meant we were given time at the office to focus more on development, bringing to maturity the original BlastGyro and the unique SlimTwin gyro.

A man with blue eyes and short light brown hair stands outdoors wearing a navy blue jacket with a zipper, branded 'Inertial Sensing' on the chest, with blurred green trees in the background.
A woman with blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin standing outdoors in a wooded area, wearing a dark blue jacket with a logo that reads 'Inertial Sensing'.

2025

We enter our 15th year with an extensive range of survey instruments tailored for all borehole survey applications, a globe-spanning distributor network, patents in the pipeline and plans for innovative new technology. Various instruments have received complete upgrades, so inside and out everything from the Compass, to the BlastGyro, to the NorthFinder became fully integrated, lower power consuming and with higher accuracy sensors. Continued growth has also meant taking on new specialists, such as Rebecca for marketing and Vilgot for software development, alongside our team of techs and assistants.
